We use industry-leading tools like Cloudflare and Wordfence to keep your data secure and OneSignal to send you important updates. The data you provide when registering, posting tasks, listings, or deals, as well as location and messaging information are collected. We use this data to run the platform, improve features, enable social interactions, and prepare for future bookings and payments. As the platform is currently in development, some data collection related to payments and bookings is placeholder for future use. Some of your information is public, and we may share data with third-party services or as required by law. You can manage or delete your content, control your account, and report issues. 1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Caribzy. We value your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our web application to list/book services, advertise deals, post tasks, or view/interact with other users. Use of Caribzy is also governed by our Terms and Conditions.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Data: Username, email, hashed password, and country provided during registration.
  • Profile Information: Profile type, business/profile name, category, bio, website, phone/WhatsApp numbers, social media links, and profile images.
  • User Content: Information in Listings (categories, titles, descriptions, pricing, images, YouTube/video links, location, any other fields on form), Deals (posters, captions, categories), and Tasks (title, details, budget, currency, deadlines, location, images).
  • Communication Data: Messages, attachments, and interaction history.

B. Information Collected Automatically (Technical Data)

When you use Caribzy, our security and notification providers automatically collect certain technical information to keep the platform safe and functional:

  • Device & Browser Information: We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type. This is processed by Cloudflare and Wordfence to detect malicious activity, prevent “bot” attacks, and optimize site speed.
  • Notification Identifiers: To send you alerts via OneSignal, we collect unique device tokens and “Push Tokens.” This allows us to deliver notifications even when you are not actively browsing the site.
  • Location Data: * User-Provided: Location information you manually enter via OpenStreetMap/Leaflet when tagging a service or task.
    • Derived Location: Cloudflare and OneSignal may derive your general location (Country/City level) from your IP address to provide localized security or time-zone-specific notifications.
  • Usage Logs: We log timestamps of your visits, pages viewed, and any security events (such as failed login attempts) to maintain platform integrity.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To provide and maintain our service-provider marketplace.
  • To enable “Follow” and social features.
  • To send automated notifications upon sign-up and system alerts.
  • To facilitate future booking and payment processing.
  • To improve our platform through analytics.
  • To communicate with you regarding platform updates, including the introduction of service fees or new subscription models.
  • To manage billing, invoicing, and account standing once payment features are enabled.
  • To provide data security, privacy and access for website.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & DATA SHARING

We use third-party service providers to help us operate the platform and protect our users. These include:

  • OneSignal: Used to deliver push notifications and alerts. They may collect data, device identifiers and location data to ensure messages reach the right user.
  • Wordfence (Defiant, Inc.): Used for security monitoring and to prevent malicious attacks. Wordfence processes IP addresses and browser information to identify and block threats.
  • Cloudflare: Used for content delivery (CDN) and security. Cloudflare may collect logs of website traffic, including IP addresses, to optimize performance and filter out malicious traffic.
  • Mapping & Media: We continue to use Leaflet/OpenStreetMap for mapping and YouTube for video embeds.

5. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

  • Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time via user dashboard.
  • Content Management: You can edit listings, deals and tasks posted by you, hide posts, or clear conversations.
  • Reporting: Users can report content that violates our standards.

6. DATA SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures, including Cloudflare’s web application firewall and Wordfence’s security monitoring, to protect against unauthorized access and cyberattacks. While we take extensive precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. COOKIES & TRACKING

We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality and security:

  • Essential Cookies: Used by Cloudflare to identify trusted web traffic and by Wordfence to verify authorized users.
  • Notification Tracking: OneSignal may use cookies or device IDs to manage notification delivery and track engagement.
  • Performance: To remember your preferences and maintain login sessions.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.

8. ANALYTICS DATA

We may collect anonymized or aggregated usage data such as page views, interactions, device type, and referral sources to improve platform performance.

9. PAYMENTS & FINANCIAL DATA

Caribzy does not currently collect or store financial information or payment data details. When payment features or listing fees are introduced:

We will never store full payment method credentials on our servers.

Transactions will be processed via secure third-party payment gateways.

We will share necessary transaction data (such as name and amount) with these providers to facilitate the payment.

10. DATA RETENTION

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Deleted accounts may remain in backups for a limited period.

11. AGE REQUIREMENT

Caribzy is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

12. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Your information may be stored or processed in countries outside your own. By using Caribzy, you consent to such transfers. By using Caribzy, you acknowledge and consent to such transfers in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

13. ADMINISTRATIVE ACCESS

Authorized Caribzy administrators may access user data solely for moderation, support, security, or legal compliance purposes.

14. USER RESPONSIBILITY

Users are responsible for the accuracy of content they post. Caribzy does not verify listings, deals, or task claims and is not responsible for disputes between users.

16. MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

By creating an account, you agree to receive administrative emails and push notifications.

Push Notifications: We use OneSignal to send real-time alerts. You can manage or disable these notifications at any time through your browser or mobile device settings.
